I took a quick weekend getaway to St. Maarten in the middle of winter with a "friend".  I nearly killed him by the end of the trip.  But, what a nice change from the bitter cold of Illinois.  As it turned out, there was a blizzard and I was stuck in St. Maarten for a little longer than planned.   Darn!  :)
